Located close to Bangkok City, Koh Samet is a leisure island that offers reprieve from the normal hustles of day to day life. Since the night life at Koh is characterized by partying, you can enjoy delicious meals in one of the restaurants located on the beach. They all offer great meals which are either Thai or some international cuisine. If you are looking for great restaurants though, you can sample the food offered at Naga or Ao Phai resort which are two of the most recommended choices.

How to Travel In the City

If you want to get to the island, you have to use a boat and a bus and the travel arrangements can be made in advance by contacting a travel agent prior to your travel day. The bus takes you to Rayong Province and the boat will deliver you to the island.

Affordable Accommodation In The City

Finding suitable accommodation that is top class and offers comfort at affordable rates is an easy feat because the island boasts of great beach resorts and hotels. Some of the places to stay include;  Ao Phai hut whose rooms are charged between 700-2,000 Baht and is close to Ao Phai Beach, Naga Bungalow which is close to Ao Hin Khok beach and rooms are charged at 150-250 Baht and Ao Phrao Resort which is located on the west coast and has luxurious rooms. Other options include; Silver Sand, Sea Horse and Coconut Bungalow among others.

Popular Visitor Spots In The City

If you were to choose one specific place, you would be doing an injustice. Exploring all the fourteen beaches is the only way to fully appreciate the coral reefs and aquatic sports offered within this vibrant city.
